150 grainers are my first chioce for the 270, may as well take advantage of the higher Sd and BC, it shoots just as flat, and the wind doesn't push the 150 around as much.

Have been running 58-59 grains of H4831 with 150's in my 270's for decades. Liked RL22, but that load lost a fair amount of velocity and ES opened way up in frigid weather when I chrono'd them in warm weather vs cold weather.

Most 270's with 22 inch bbls will see 2875-2900 shooting 150's.
