SKBs are excellent shotguns.. The M500 is merely their entry level shotgun, mainly just missing fancy-work and choke tubes..

The internal parts are outstanding - easily rivaling Browning Citoris.. They're durable and retain lockup actually better than the Citori..

If it fits you, buy it and go hunting...

I have not heard much about SKB shotguns, so I am very interested to read your comments above!

I have an Ithaca/SKB 20 ga side by side (3 inch chambers) that is a dream to handle and fits like it was tailor made for me.

I have likely shot it 2 thousand times (skeet and as many grouse as I could manage!).

Are the SKB side by sides fairly durable guns?
I ask because I like the gun so much that I have reduced the amount I shoot it at skeet to make sure it does not get loose. Wise move, or unnecessary precaution?
