Here are the results from a few "modern" 6.5x55's:

Ruger 77 Mark II, 22" barrel:
120 Barnes X (pre-TSX)/49.0 RL-19 --2940 fps
129 Hornady Spire Point/49.0 RL-19 --3002 fps

Winchester 70 Featherweight, 22" barrel:
120 Barnes X (pre-TSX)/ 49.0 RL-19 --3028 fps

Custom FN Mauser, 21" Lilja barrel:
120 Nosler Ball. Tip/ 45.0 Norma 204 --2972 fps

None of these loads showed any sign of distress, but I ain't guaranteeing anything. All were very accurate.
