After a winter of loading different 30-06 loads with 180 grn. and 165 grn. bullets and different powders I have it. The last range session told me all I needed to know 180 grn., new Deep Curl bonded bullet, and a fairly stout load of H-4350. Yes the old faithful. A .30" group @ 100yds for 5 shots with 7-10 minutes of wait time in-between each shot. So next trip up to the cabin on a rainy day after all the jobs are done I will go into production. I have a half pound of H-4350 left, the same one I used to shoot the best group I have ever shot. I will take my time and turn out as many cartridges as that half pound will allow. They ran 2790fps on fellow shooter's chrony. We are Whitetail ready. I will shoot a few this fall for confidence building and come November in Canada I will be in a tree and hunting.

The RL-17 did better in my gun with 165's both grouping and velocity. Again this experience and my results are for my gun a Tikka T3 and they maybe very different in what you shoot.IMHO
