I have used the 50 cal 460 gr for deer on several occasions- worked great. Last year with 3 p points i got an elk tag and hunted in the area i usually hunt in SW Colorado. I was able to call in a nice 5X4 to about 60 yards. At the shot he was quartering into me. After the shot he turned walked about 30 yards and fell over. He was dead when I got to him. This is also the most accurate bullet with 90 grains of 2f black that I have used in my Knight rifle. Peep sights are also the way to go if you can mount one on your rifle. THIS IS A GREAT BULLET THAT I WOULD RECOMEND TO ANYONE HUNTING ELK! Good luck.
