Jimmy, the "operator" is one of Ken Elmore's creations, it has the $600 reliability package that he offers on all Colt carbines and the operator barrel is a reworked 16" barrel I think to 10".
A very reliable SBR is harder to obtain than one you and I are used to putting together. Is it worth it? That depends on the user. Lord knows I've gone over the $2200 price tag on a few of my creations.
