I've used my PN-40 while others run their Garmin 60CSX. I've found they are equally accurate and we ran both in heavy tree cover, bad weather, and in canyons.

The Garmin has an advantage with longer battery life and Delorme's advantage is the ability to incorporate various maps such as arial photos, USGS Quads, & NOAA nautical charts.

I see Delmore states the PN-60 has better battery life than the PN-40. I have no experience with the PN-60, just responding to the reception question.
