For CCW .45. Anyone have experience with the Valor bobtail vs. Guardian? The Valor is forged frame, Heine straight 8's vs. alloy, Novak low-mounts, and 0.4lbs lighter Guradian. But beyond that, haven't been able to find them in-stock locally to get a better idea. Opinions on pro's/con's?
I have a Valor bobtail. It didn't care for the trigger pull. I had a local smith put a flat-face trigger and new hammer/sear in it then had it ion bonded (sp?). It's nice and carries well although heavier and not as carry-friendly as my Colt Defender which I generally carry. Bobtails aren't for everyone--shoot one before you go to the expense of buying one. JMO.
