The .358 Norma is an awesome round. I built mine based on a model 700, Sako extractor, 24 inch Douglas barrel, coated the exterior and painted it two tone with a McMillan Edge. I put a Swaro illuminate dot 1.5 x 4.5 on it. I did add a removable brake to it, as the rifle is only a bit over 8 pounds scoped. With Swift A frames it has been an excellent moose, whitetail, wild boar, grizzly and water buffalo taker. I hope to use it for brown bear in the near future. It is flat enough it might prove quite well as a middle of the road round for Africa. I built it for hunting Moose and bears in the north. Enjoy, it is worth building
