1) Wide off the shelf availabilty of ammo
2) Very possibly a higher resale due to popularity
3) Wider range of bullets
4) More brass available

Reason #4 does not fly. Brass on the shelf marked 7-08 works just as well in my 260 as the stuff that is marked 260.

Reason #1.. Who shoots "off the shelf ammo"? That's why God invented unprimed brass and Midway.
