nhFrank - that Siamese mauser in .45/70 was all the rage several decades ago, when folks wanted to REALLY upload that 'ol grandpa round, to mimic the more expensive .458WM. Some even came with Fajen walnut stocks. Just a thought, check out that "recoil bruise" post before you convert to .45/90 OR heat up the .45/70 first.
