I have 7x57R on my Krieghoff drilling. Works well on wild boar and also moose (100yrd) but might be weak for heavy game. Therefore have 30-06 or 9,3x64. Originally 6,5x57 has develop as pure hunting cartridge and suits well for roe deer or medium size game as fellow deer. Germans ammo producers RWS do not recommend it higher than fellow deer (see RWS homepage
