They are good Mauser actions, certainly good enough to rebarrel to most anything that will fit in the magazine. The stocks that I have seen on them have varied greatly. Some of the wood was light colored and Weatherbyesque, others with more classic lines, etc. certainly due to models, whims and suppliers.

Saw one once that was a .270 with a featherweight contour barrel 22", open sights, grip and cheekpiece similar to an FN and a forend that had a beavertail with no checkering. It was a factory stock, neat rifle which I couldn't talk the owner out of. mad

Haven't seen another like that since.
