Render unto Ceasar that which is Ceasar's. Render unto God, that which is Gods. Kindness and compassion are under Gods kingdom, not Ceasar's. Ceasar = taxes, suppresion, war etc...
Socialist, liberal, communist, progressive, hegalist dolts always get this wrong. They can't figure out that to give Joe money they are stealing from John. Thou shalt not steal, but most of them do not believe in religion, so it is OK to steal from John to feed and take care of Joe. They think EVERYTHING belongs to the STATE and it is only on temporary loan to John, so they can come and arbitrarly take it from John and give it to Joe at anytime and it is right and good in there eyes. They can't see that State power (government) belongs to and comes from the people. That compassion etc.. comes from individuals, not the state. KDJ
