My Finnfire outshoots my 40X, my 541S, and every other rimfire I own. Only limitation is the shooter and ammo. They were very popular in the BR game for a while.
I hear you... I have a Finnfire Range (heavy barrel 94s with an adjustable stock)... honestly it is so accurate there is no need to shoot it at anything but 100 yards or more... at 50 yards it is nothing but 1 hole.
We take it to the range occasionally and shoot flys with it at 100 yards... (When we get there, we spread some peanut butter and jelly on a target at 100 yards.... then we go about shootin all of our other guns... when we are done normally the flies have shown up at the target... then we have fun...
