I had one eons ago. Some dipstick had put a peep sight on it. WTF? In fact, I got several pistols out of the same estate and quite a few of them had peep sights. A pair of break-top S&W single shots come to mind. Not sure what the point was, the bead was pretty coarse and hole in the peep small, the only way they could have fired and seen anything through the sight at all was to lock the off hand on the shooting hand elbow and put the gun into the off-hand elbow. That's loud!
