Marks on the right track. I've shot a 22/250 for coyote calling for many,many years.
With a 55gr. load at 3500-3600fps. a 1 1/2in. high setting at 100yds. will give you about a 240yd. zero., and about a 7in. drop at 300yds. That alot of calling country.
Lately, with a good range finder I've kept a drop table on masking tape on the side of my stock. Since I've been doing more howling for dogs many will show themselves at the far edge of a wheat field and stand for the range finder. Then if I guess the wind right I connect on some pretty long shots.
