We all had a great hunt. Spot, Stalk & recovery. Son inlaw, Grandson, and myself. My Son inlaw spotted this guy bedded next to some brush @ 645yds from the top of the ridge in the center of the first picture. He said "he looks OK, lets walk over and get a closer look". After crossing two drainages and up the far side of the third, we took a little break, then all three slithered up to look over the top. My Grandson with my Binos, Son inlaw with the range finder, and myself with the 308. As we peeked over the rim the buck stood up, took a few steps up on a small flat, BROADSIDE, and was looking away from us. The last thing I heard was..153 yards somke him.
