I have decided that I need a Ruger Redhawk 5.5" barreled .44 Magnum. I really don't but I am telling myself that I am. I have never seen one around my local stores so I am wondering what a good used Redhawk in blued or stainless would go for? Looking online I see used ones from $400-$700, new ones are around $650-$700 it seems. Thanks
Used 5-1/2 in Redhawks are being scalped on the auction sites right now because there aren't any new ones available. A local gun shop has a used 5-1/2 44 mag for $850.00, and he's confident that he'll get that price. If you can find a pair of 5-1/2 in Redhawks for $400.00 ea, buy one, then tell me where the other one is so I can buy one too. I still see an occasional 4 incher on some boards for around $700.00. I just bought a S&W 44 Mountain Gun because I couldn't find a suitable Redhawk. Used 7-1/2 in Redhawks remain steady at about $500.00 on the auctions.
