6.5 RM tapers from .513 to .494 at the shoulder.
.300 SAUM tapers from .550 to .535
.270 WSM from .555 to .538

If it were me I would take the parent case (WSM or SAUM) and neck it down. Not saying it won't feed but I'd rather do that than run the risk of it not working properly or having to mess with a follower.

Doesn't take much for the bullet to end up against the breech face, etc.
