I bought a NIB 1886 in 45-90 to use as a shooter last summer. I didn't know it was a "Limited" edition and was disappointed when it arrived to see the lawyers tang safety and the unnatural looking finish on the wood. I don't know if it will appreciate that much being locked up in the safe or to go out and shoot it. If I start shooting it, I will have some major rework done on it to make it look like an 1886 should.

I also dislike the "Made in Japan" stamping. I know the Japanese build excellent rifles, but I am a proud American that buys American whenever I can.

Your input will be greatly appreciated!
