I hunted the Ft. Davis Mountains a number of years ago and had a great time. Killed a nice ram. Beautiful country and no high fences. It is not the same as hunting bighorn or Stone's but it is fair chase and a real hunt. The weather is pretty damn nice in the dead of winter to.
I can't believe how much some of the guys are charging for these hunts now.
