The Mohawks were a cheaper version of the original 600. Less desirable wood, no rib. If I'm not mistake it was made in the late 70s to clean out the used parts left over from the 600s/660s. IMHO for $500 it would have to be in excellent condition, 4-450 would be ok if it's in good shape.

The three Mohawks I own all have walnut stocks, not the later birch "less desirable" wood. I'm not sure when Remington stopped using walnut on the Mohawks in favor of the cheaper birch. Of course, the Mohawks did not come with the barrel ribs.
