I shot a .38 ammo box at the range the other day with a 2 3/4" standard ounce and a quarter of 6s. At 30 yards there were 18 holes in the side I shot. Dead turkey. Dead coyote. Missed quail or minced quail, tho.


IIRC one barrel patterned about 18 inches high (center of pattern 18" above the point of aim, that is) and the 2nd was centered about a foot lower.
