Not first hand, as I had a smith install one on an early L579. Factory trigger had failed, no replacement parts. Used the model with no safety lever as a Winchester M70 style safety has been fitted. Mauser finger piece in place of Timmney's clears the bottom metal. Don't know about the wood fit, getting new. Doing it again on a second L579.
