I know you didn't ask about combo guns, but I've got a breakdown .22/20g Rossi. You might consider one since it's a single shot .22 and still affords you the opportunity to hunt quail and things you might use a 20g. I think this is the one I have:

BTW, when I bought mine there was a rebate through Rossi. I don't think, in total I spent more than $150.
