I just ended my search for a similar scope...I needed to scope my new to me JM stamped Marlin 45-70 GS....I looked at the Weaver..but didn't want to spend the $500 for the scope..there are alot of choices even for $400...in 30mm & 1" tubes....Leo makes a few choices in the 1-4..1.75-6...the best bang for your buck if you like the reticle is the Vortex Viper HS 1-4...$400 shipped from Cameraland....I wasn't crazy about the reticle..ended up being my frugal self and bought a closeout 3200 1.5-4.5x32 for $270 from Midway...I may never even hunt with my Marlin 45-70...so I figured the 3200 would work just fine...Nikon...Burris also offer similar scopes...the Weaver -4 would be a fine choice...just watch eye relief...
