Seafire Campfire 'Bwana S Joined: Apr 2004 Posts: 42,801 Likes: 1 Southern Oregon USA	yeah, my "open country" load for my Model 70 Featherweight, in 7mm Mauser, is 44 grains of IMR 4895 and a 140 grain Ballistic tip or partition... runs right at 2800 fps on the nose, out of the 22 inch barrel.. its a tack driving load, but this rifle shoots everything you feed it like it thinks its a varmint rifle...
