Is anyone getting any motivation over this VW Tiguan?

Got to admit, one in grey has caught my eye...

but the only real motivation, is that in 2013 they are supposed to have available stateside the Diesel version of it..

I have seen a few around the Rogue Valley here... and not bad little rigs... same size as the Ford Escape, or RAV 4 or Honda CRX...

but the Diesel in them is rated at 35 mpg in town and 46 mpg on the highway...

not bad for a room little run around rig...

however you know that this is too good to be true...

ya know the environMENTAL crowd and the Obama .gov crowd are going to mess with something like that, and make it to where the 2014 model will get 18 mpg around town and 24 mpg on the highway... and have about 1/2 the horse power...
