Jordo-you reckon would need to run a 30 or a 40" tube to safely get 2900 with a 195 out of a WSM case...

It's purely speculation, but I see guys getting 3050fps out of the 180gr Berger, so I figure 2900fps should be doable with a 195gr bullet of similar design and bearing surface. Once the bullet hits the market, I guess we'll see what's actually achievable, and with different barrel lengths. Or somebody could just run it through QL
For a purely LR rifle, designed to shoot out to 1500+ yards, a 30" barrel wouldn't be the end of the world. But you're not gonna want to do much still hunting with it!
