You say you want 3X on the bottom end. I would go with a 3-12X40 Tasco and get both for about what you will spend on one of the other brands. If you compare them side by side on an eye chart you will be quite surprised. If you put them on a .340 or .375 you will be surprise at the toughness. Ask me how I know.
