I have done both dipping and wraps on both alum and carbon shafts. Wraps are sooo much easier, less mess and they hold up well IME. I also use the bohning fletching tape, fletch a dozen arrows in less than an hr. I do use a dab of fletch tite on the ends of each feather to be extra secure. Another benefit is that it is much easier to re fletch (no scraping) plus no stripping off the old dip because you dinged up the paint scraping. Fletch tape holds ok on dips also. If you glue feathers/vanes to carbon you are stuck with it, so to speak, if a feather gets torn, or otherwise ruined, wraps and tape allow for easy repair. I do miss the smell of dipping arrows though.
