I just conceded that you were correct, and that I was wrong. There was in fact, as you say, no encirclement, therefore he wasn't in fact approaching an officer as he retreated, thus there was no arguable point reached constituting imminent threat to the life of an officer justifying the hail of gunfire. I humbly accept your correction.

I see him repositioning and closing on the officers to the left of the screen...
Were there officers to the left? I didn't see them. I thought I did on my first viewing, but on my second viewing I looked hard at it and didn't see anyone to the left.
Look closer. I make out at least two.
