BTW, good eye on the scope. It is a Bushnell 6500 Tactical 4.5-30X50, with side focus and mildots. Great scope and about the most perfect calling scope I can imagine. If there is a better scope set up for "near" and "far" I don't know what it is. The rifle is a Ruger 77 Hawkeye Predator. I'm usually not a big Ruger fan, but I make an exception with this rifle. Between the two-stage target-grade adjustable trigger and the semi-bull stainless steel barrel...not to mention great accuracy...I am a fan of this rifle!
