Fully insured in a hard case, he is looking at at least $50 for shipping and depending on where its going, could EASILY be $75... this is not including the cost of the hard case, packaging material, or the shipper's time... I would feel fairly confident saying he is not really not making anything in shipping fee.

I've shipped several $3000 shotguns that broken down, without a hard case, cost me $65 in shipping with insurance.
