I bought a used Henry "Big Boy" rifle recently and did not notice any flaws while at the sporting goods store at the time of purchase, indoor lighting and all. When I was cleaning it at home and polishing it up I noticed faint swirl marks throughout the brasslite receiver. At first I thought I had done something myself while using some NeverDull to shine it up. It shined up OK but the swirl marks are becoming noticeable. I shined up a brass cow bell with the NeverDull and the product didn't cause any swirl marks in the bell so I don't think I did anything using the NeverDull I had on hand so the previous owner must have done something to the receiver when he/she had it before me. Any suggestions as to how to remove the swirl marks by polishing/buffing with something "magical"? I really don't want to go the toothpaste route but I have heard and read about that as a possible remedy. Any/all thoughts/ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Richard.
