Am I hijacking my own thread if I say that if you had to have one rifle for CO that the 300 WSM is a great (but not the only) choice? Back on topic, I'm looking for something to fill a gap between the .223 and the 300 WSM that's suitable for goats and deer. I think that I was trying to rationalize buying a 25-06 all along. I'm OK with that and I appreciate all of the encouragement/enablement, other suggestions and mostly the entertaining posts. Thanks.
