Hand load for birds?
YOU BET!!
My all time favourite shotgun is a Westley Richards hammer double in 12, I load lead 7 1/2's with 3 drams of FFG for upland and
#4 Nice Shot and 3 drams for decoyed ducks and geese!
Brass cases are Mag tec, so Ii use 10 gauge wads in them because of the thin walls.
I also hunt with 16 and 20 gauge Damascuss haammer double s and black powder.
