I have a nib ruger no 1a 7x57 one of the last ones made. I haven't set it up for shooting yet. I noticed a little cooper fouling at the muzzle that I assume was from test firing at the factory. A gunslick wetted patch seemed to take care of it, but after closer inspection I noticed some slight marks on the lands. I cleaned from the breech using a carbon fiber rod with bore guide so I don't think I put them there. The marks don't appear to be a burr at least they didn't catch any cotton off the end of a q-tip. So my question is are these ever so slight marks normal for a ruger barrel and a result of manufacture and of no consequence? I would post pictures but I don't think they would show much. The crown seems fine. Any responses from those with experience with ruger barrels would be appreciated.
