FWIW, I paid $125 & $200, OTD, for the last two .35 cal Marlin 336's I bought - one 3 years ago, the other 2 years ago.

The $125 gun was a "jammer", made in 1968 - which I fixed in 15mins via installing a new loading gate - The loading gates are their own spring, and will foul the lifter when the spring tension goes walkabout.

The $200 gun was a 1963 Model SC (Sporting Carbine) in 95% condition.
