I don't have first hand knowledge, but got this from someone who did have the Brockman pop-up peep on his M70. From what I was told and have seen in pictures, the Brockman is identical in most respects to the rear BASE for Talley rings. The Talley bases work with both the quick detach type rings as well as with the other rings that are not quick detachable (they use screws instead of a lever). When you remove the scope (with the rings attached) the peep sight pops up from the base. The base is held in place with the normal two screws that secures any conventional base.
