Finally pulled the pin and made a booking!
May 15,2014 will find me in the Eastern Cape hunting: Kudu, Gemsbok, Blue Wildebeest, Impala, and Springbok with Hotfire Hunting and Fishing Safaris for 9 days.
Of course the door is open for perhaps some other critters if the opportunity arises.
The wife has actually decided to come along, which is good.
We'll be the only people there at Hotfire and we really click with Patrick Fletcher (PH/Outfitter) and his wife Jennifer. Patrick and I can talk and the hours fly by as if they are minutes.
I really appreciate the African Shows that have come to Calgary in the last couple of years and allowed me to talk face to face with some of these African Outfitters. However, it was disappointing to tell my 1A choice, Spear Safaris that I wasn't going with them. The booths were side by side! Last year I really leaned towards Ernest of Spear, but then at the Sportsman Show, I met Patrick and we just click.
I may one day hunt with Ernest as he is up by Kruger and has buffalo, lion etc.
The decision to go with Hotfire came down to how far my money stretches, and how well I get along with Patrick.
However the deed is done, Hotfire here I come!
