My 2 cents about NE Wisconsin and Central Upper Michigan. Grouse hunting was average at best. Had to put on a lot of miles to produce flushes. Only saving grace is there were enough Woodcock around to keep us shooting and the dogs interested during the dry stretches.
Noticed this year more birds in pairs and triples than normal? Not sure why. Still loved every minute of it though.
