You didn't mention which barrel you had attached,I own a 452 American in 22lr which is a phenomenal shooter,a friend once told me that if you look closely at the CZ 452/453 series they are Basicly a copy of the famed Winchester model 52 target rifles,they sure shoot like it
There may be similarities to the Winchester 52, as there are commonalities among most bolt action rimfires, but I seriously doubt it is a copy. There is a long history of European bolt action .22s including Mauser, Brno, and CZ, which may be related. I don't know all the details of their geneology.
