10-15 yards would negate the need for target sights, so it's really down to a choice between a medium-frame or large frame revolver, and a decision regarding caliber. Off the shelf I'd opt for a Model 13 S&W (or the stainless Model 65) with 3-inch barrel. Large frame I'd go with either a S&W Model 21 (.44 special) or a Model 22 (.45 ACP) both with a 4-inch barrel.
Holster? Either an EPS Tom Threepersons or one of the late Roy Baker's excellent pancake holsters (of which I have several).
