So I have purchased a zeiss conquest 3-9x40 with z plex reticle. I am curious if my logic is correct. I have what is considered the "hunter" turret from zeiss. Let's assume that I zero in my scope to hit dead on at 200 yards (1.59" high at 100 yards). According to my ballistics software, I need to be 9.49" high at 100 yards to be dead on at 500 yards. A difference of about 8".

Am I right to assume that if I turn my turret 32clicks (1/4" at 100 yards) that I will hit dead on at 500 yards. I eventually want to get target turrets, but want to play with it first. The current reticle has the ability to zero out, so I can easily return to my initial zero point.

I know that I would need to practice and determine reality, but is my current line of thinking correct?

Thank you!
