...why did Remington discontinue it? These have got to be one of the best lightweight out of the box hunting rifles going. I found a friend's nephew a .308 about 5 years ago and it just impressed me as needing nothing...

Thursday night I was at a big local shop and found a mint one just like I had found my friend's nephew for $495.00. Had a Weaver base and rings with a Leupold VX-III 2.5-8 waiting patiently to be mounted on something....





Set it up last night and went out with Ken (firearms44) this morning and was pleasantly surprised...

First three shot group at 100 with Federal AE 150 grain ball.....




Fired another three shot group but since #3 was a called pull another shot was fired and just widened one of the holes...this time with Federal PowerShok..



Now I'm thinking a McMillian Model SEVEN KS stock to match a .350 Rem. Mag. I usually hunt with...

Remington needs to bring the SEVEN back in stainless...
