Pesident Truman was under alot of pressure to use one of the bombs as a demonstration.Alot of people thought dropping one on a city was barbaric.
All you have to do is look at the fire bomb raid on Tokyo.To come up with a new definition of barbarity.
All things considered.There was only enough material to make two bombs.I think Truman got it right.
It might not be pretty.
But then again if not for Truman.
I might not be here.
There were projected American casualties of 500000 if it came to an invasion of the home islands.
