I could spend a week on this one but here's a few thoughts.
1. Why would the NPS do this? Are they planning on opening a great Islamic National Park in the U.S.?
2. This country is full of diversity and immigrants here should assimilate as much as possible into the dominant culture. Not the other way around. Grandparents on both sides of my family immigrated here from Italy and Finland...and I am thankful they did. I don't expect this country to accommodate my Italian or Finnish ancestry or Christianity. I'm an American.
3. I couldn't help but think if at some point in the future employers will have to allow Muslim employees breaks to pray 5 times a day at work. This is not currently afforded to Christians, Jews, Hindus etc. but who knows going forward. I watched this happen in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
4. Lastly, our government encourages us not to blame Islam for the actions of a few fanatics but the same government gladly wants to hold all gun owners accountable for the actions of a few fanatics.
