Sitting in one of my stands recently thinking how a RN would work perfectly for all the places i hunt . Hardly ever need to shoot more than a 100 yds , almost always in the woods , like two holes when i can get them and good blood trails that are easier to follow in heavy cover , pines,cutover areas .Who has used RN at 308/30-06 velocities and what did you think of it ? The gun is a stainless marlin that i like to use as sort of truck/bad weather gun that lately gets used pretty much all the time because i like the 2-7 leupold that is on it for woods hunting . Might even take it along next trip to colorado . The elk I have shot have been DIY public land cows at 250 and much less .
